The Curious Postcard Club is a Rhode Island-based vintage postcard subscription dedicated to giving forgotten postcards a second life.

Every month, members receive a curated themed bundle of authentic unused vintage postcards sourced from decades past. These are not reproductions or modern reprints — they are real pieces of history, preserved blank and ready to travel again.

What began as a personal fascination with postcard collecting and travel grew into a way to reconnect people with handwritten communication in the digital age. There’s something special about holding a postcard that has survived 40, 50, or even 100 years untouched — waiting for someone new to write the message it never received.

Each collection is built around a monthly theme inspired by travel, roadside Americana, mid-century design, local history, holidays, odd attractions, forgotten places, and everyday moments captured in print. Some postcards are colorful and playful. Others feel like tiny time capsules from another era.

The Curious Postcard Club exists somewhere between collecting, storytelling, sustainability, and correspondence. By recirculating unused vintage postcards, the club celebrates ephemera not as something archived away forever, but as something still capable of connection.

While traveling across the United States, I realized postcards were more than souvenirs — they were small moments of pause. A way to slow down, notice where you are, and let someone know you’re thinking of them. In a fast digital world, that simple gesture felt meaningful, and this club was created to keep that feeling alive.
